Missions Month 2026

Created by: Cross Installation Committee

Paper

May, 2026

Created for Missions Month, this cross installation is lined with paper airplanes folded from hand-colored maps by the children and youth of NCEL, Eastlake, Chattanooga, and the wider world.

Pointing in many directions, the airplanes symbolize both global mission and local presence: some may travel far, while others barely leave our side. The piece invites reflection on the questions, “Who is my neighbor?” and “Where is God asking me to go?”—whether across the world or across the street.
