Children’s
Ministry

NCEL Children’s Ministry exists to partner with parents in the congregation and community by consistently teaching their children the Gospel of Jesus through the Word of God.

We want each child to know their identity as a beloved child of God sought after by their Creator, as a person who needs their Savior’s grace, and as an individual important to the vitality and work of the church.

NCEL’s Children’s Ministry aims to be a safe and welcoming place for children of any background, representing God’s kingdom.

“But Jesus called them to him, saying, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”

Luke 18:16a

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Children of all ages remain with their family for the beginning of the Sunday morning worship because we feel it is important for them to see and be part of the corporate worship of God with their family and with the body of Christ. Children’s church is offered for ages 0-5 during the sermon portion of each Sunday morning worship service where they participate in age appropriate songs, lessons, and activities that teach them the truth at a level they can engage with.

Sunday school classes are provided for all ages, babies through 5th grade. We use the Gospel Project curriculum for Sunday School.

The classes are divided up as follows:

  • The nursery remains open for ages 0-2

  • Preschool & kindergarten

  • Kindergarten-2nd grade

  • 3rd-4th grade

  • 5th grade
